Placerville, CA - Due to the rain forecasted for this weekend, the First Annual “Nor-Cal Posse Shootout” has been postponed.
However, the speedway has conferred with the El Dorado County Fairgrounds and secured a rain date to have a One Day event on Friday, October 28th.
The single day event will include the Friday format, qualifying each car, with the Saturday purse, $7000 to win and $500 to start. Additional contingency awards will need to be confirmed from this point moving forward. Also competing, will be the Wingless Spec Sprint Shootout presented by Intents Racing. That will still include the $1200 winner’s share, in addition to limited edition gold coins for the top 3 finishers.
For fans and teams planning on traveling to the original 2 day event, there is still the option for 2 days of racing by attending the Marysville Fall Gold Fever Sprint Spooktackular on Saturday, October 29th.
“Nobody is more disappointed than us”, stated co-promoter Kami Arnold. “We were really looking forward to a great 2 day event for our fans, teams and sponsors. We appreciate the tremendous support we received in planning the Shootout, but Mother Nature is not on our side this weekend. However, you can be assured that we will try again next year to make it a two day event that everyone will want to attend”.
Further details will be forthcoming. For complete details of the 2016 Red Hawk Casino Championship Racing Season, visit Placerville Speedway’s official website at www.placervillespeedway.com.
