On Tuesday, September 11th, Brad Sweet Promotions will add a Kick Off Party to the list of must-attend events leading into the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series race at Placerville Speedway on September 12th. The party will be a celebration of the team’s Knoxville Nationals victory and set the stage for Wednesday’s 49er Gold Rush Classic.
The Kick Off Party will be a chance for the team to celebrate the biggest victory of Sweet’s career, as well as offer fans an opportunity to enjoy live music, good friends and an epic party!
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate this win than with the fans, friends and family members that have been cheering me on since I left home,” Sweet said. “Whether you can make it to the race, the party or both, I hope to see as many of our people there as possible.”
The Kick Off Party will start with a hauler parade through historic Placerville at 5:30pm, which will end at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds. Country music artist Tim Dugger will be performing live on stage at 7:00pm, and fans can purchase tri-tip sandwiches and beer while enjoying the music and festivities. Concert tickets will be available for just $5 and kids 12 and under are FREE.
Camping will be available at the fairgrounds and is first come, first served, so get there early and enjoy two nights of racing family, friends and fun.
On Wednesday night, the World of Outlaws Drivers will descend on Placerville the 49er Gold Rush Classic presented by Riebes Auto Parts, which has historically been a nail-biting performance. In 2017, David Gravel snatched the lead from Shane Stewart on lap 22 and staved off California native Rico Abreu and host Brad Sweet to win 2017's Placerville Short Track Showdown. In 2016, Jason Johnson battled back after his injury in 2015 to score an epic comeback win over Daryn Pittman and local Andy Forsberg.
