Coors Light returns as the official beer of Placerville Speedway


Placerville, CA – The Placerville Speedway would like to welcome back Coors Light as official beer of the El Dorado County Fairgrounds based quarter-mile in 2020.


It doesn’t get better than grabbing an ice-cold Coors Light at the beer booth, hanging with your closest racing friends in the stands and watching the famed Placerville red clay shoot through the air during hot laps. The Placerville Speedway will also be serving other favorites this year including Coors Banquet, Miller Lite, Blue Moon, Racer 5, Sol, Oil Can (Fosters), Redd’s, Crispin Hard Cider and Mike’s Hard Lemonade.


The 2020 season at Placerville Speedway opens this Saturday March 7th when the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV Motorsports Network returns for the first time since 2012. Also on hand during the night will be the Nor-Cal Dwarf Car Association.


Adult tickets for this Saturday’s Gold Strike Stampede will cost $30, while seniors 62 plus, military and juniors 12-17 will be $26, children 6-11 are $15, kids five and under are free! Seating is general admission in both the grandstands and bleachers. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online by clicking https://market.myracepass.com/store/tickets/?i=1198602&store=23296


The pit gate will open at 2pm, with the front grandstand gate opening at 3pm. A happy hour is offered from 4pm-6pm in the grandstands featuring discounted Coors Light and Coors Original at the beer stand.


Drivers meeting will be held at 4:45pm, with cars on track for wheel packing shortly after 5pm. Hot laps and racing will follow with heats expected to fire-off around 7pm. Live music will be performed from 4-6 in the grandstand midway.


The ASCS National event kicks-off a big opening month that also includes the 17th annual “Tribute to Al Hinds” on Saturday March 21st, along with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Elk Grove Ford and Abreu Vineyards season-opening “Spring Fever Frenzy” on Saturday March 28th.


The Placerville Speedway is located on the beautiful El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. Take Hwy US-50 to Forni Road/Placerville Drive exit.
