Placerville Speedway begins year with March 8th Test and Tune

Placerville Speedway will initiate activities for the first time in 2025 by hosting a "Test and Tune" on Saturday March 8th, from noon to 4pm.

Pit passes cost $30 for those 14 and over; $15 for kids 4-13 and $5 for infants/ toddlers up to age three. Please note the grandstands are closed to the public during the Test and Tune. Fuel will be on sale, but concessions will not be open.

The Pit Pay App will be utilized and is highly encouraged, particularly for those with minors. Pit passes will also be available the traditional way at the pit shack.

One week later, Placerville Speedway is scheduled to open its 60th season of competition on Saturday March 15th. The evening of racing marks the 22nd running of the “Tribute to Al Hinds” and kicks off the first of 15 Berco Redwood/ Hoosier Tires championship point races.

Divisions set to tackle the famed quarter mile during the event will include the Thompson’s Family of Dealerships Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Ltd. Late Models, the Red Hawk Resort + Casino Pure Stocks and BCRA Lightning Sprints.

The Placerville Speedway is located on the beautiful El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. Take Hwy US-50 to Forni Road/Placerville Drive exit.
