Placerville, CA…Following a two-year hiatus Russell Motorsports Inc. is excited to announce that Red Hawk Casino is returning as a sponsor for the upcoming 2022 campaign at Placerville Speedway.
The Placerville Speedway is entering its 57th season of competition and year six under the leadership of Promoters Scott Russell and Kami Arnold of Russell Motorsports Inc. Since opening in 1965 the high-banked, red-clay bullring has been a favorite among fans throughout Northern California and is just a short drive up the hill from the capital city of Sacramento.
Visits by the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series, the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets, the Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Elk Grove Ford and Abreu Vineyards, the NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Cars and more dot the schedule for what is sure to be a memorable year at the quarter-mile.
The championship point race held on Saturday July 9th will be designated as “Red Hawk Casino Night.” In action that evening will be Winged 360 Sprint Cars, Pure Stocks, Mini Trucks and the BCRA Lightning Sprints.
With numerous major events on tap this season Russell is anticipating a strong 2022 slate and spoke about the return of Red Hawk Casino as a sponsor of the venue. “We are definitely excited to have Red Hawk Casino back on board this coming season. We’ve missed having them at the track the last two-years and appreciate their support of Placerville Speedway, along with the surrounding community,” he commented. “We are looking forward to a great season and hope all the fans and racers are as well.”
